Please tell us a little about yourself:

I am the co-owner of a barista academy with my wife, where I share the knowledge I’ve built over the past 10 years in specialty coffee. I am an active competitor in my country, having competed across multiple disciplines. I became AeroPress Champion in 21’ and am currently a two-time national filter champion (2025 and 2026).

I’m driven by a passion for sharing coffee and showcasing the quality of Ecuadorian coffee. I was introduced to this world by my father—his experience with an AeroPress sparked my curiosity and ultimately shaped my path.

Fun fact: my kids (ages 2 and 3) help choose my AeroPress competition recipes—they’re my toughest judges!

What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?

I’m really excited to explore Brussels—its culture, its people, and the way coffee is experienced and lived there. I’m especially looking forward to connecting with the local coffee community and discovering how the city expresses its coffee culture.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

As an architect, I really enjoy exploring local architecture. I’m passionate about football and love experiencing memorable gastronomic moments.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?

There are always many people behind every competition journey. First, I want to thank God—His timing is always perfect. I’m deeply grateful to my wife and children, who are my strength and motivation, and to my parents and family for their constant support.

I also want to thank everyone who has been part of this dream and journey—coffee producers, coaches, and sponsors.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
